What is this connector please?
While installing a Double Din radio in my 2000 Boxster, I discovered an unused 4 pin connector just laying there between the shifter and the lowest bay in the radio stack. I would like to implement it if possible but I can't find it on any of the schematics. Here are the colors:
Pin 1 - Brown Pin 2 - Yellow / Black Pin 3 - Green / Black Pin 4 - Red / Green I have attached a pic...any help is appreciated. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1455553704.jpg |
Optional factory phone connector.

Phone prep pin out...
Brown - ground
Yellow/Black - telephone mute Green/Black - switched 12v Red/Green - unswitched 12v |
It is a most useful plug, switched 12v, unswitched 12v, and ground. I'm using the switched 12v for my oil temp and pressure gauges.

First post, no introduction amd didn't bother to try a search first Well played BTW welcome to the forum  |
Also if you don't want to splice into the plug directly, you can purchase the other side , PN: 5001.524-276 from Becker Audio.
