It's very hard to tell from pictures, but it looks like it's probably off.

Paint analysers are out there and can get a very good match on most colours. Silver included.

But getting silver painted on on plastic to match silver painted on steel is not at all easy. It's a challenge with any metallics as the metal flakes insist on sitting differently.

Over time the paint on plastic will age differently from the paint on metal. So, after a couple of years the colors will be off anyway. Maybe you should just live with it?

^ agreed.

Eomak, what size wheel spacers do you have in the back?

I have sent back paint work many times. If you paid a lot they should have done a better match.
That being said, silver is tough. I've had front and rear bumpers painted maybe six or seven times since racking up 90K miles.
But I've never had that dramatic a difference as you have there.

There is no messing with camera settings here.
Just a cheap point and shoot Minolta in day light and a night time shot.
Front bumper and skirting was painted locally, not at the factory.

Plastic/ABS/Poly etc. for some reason takes on a different shade on lighter colored cars, even when using the same paint...I wonder if it has to do with the flex agent...Look at a silver car on the showroom floor, and you'll notice a subtle variation between the metal and poly parts...

Makes it near impossible my bodyshop guy was rumbling about last time I went.

Talking about the getting the bloom and reflection as perfectly sharp as the older paint. Metallics only of course.

Not much of an issue for Honda Civics but when you want your Italian or German car panels to be resprayed, that causes some problems lolll I've heard

This would make sense. I had my bumper and fender painted off the car with a water based paint and they matched perfectly with the rest of the car when I put them on. Perhaps OP had his skirts painted with a more conventional oil based paint?

Also interested in what kind of spacers/suspension you are running. Looks good. Are a little lower than stock too?

Yes, color is off.

Pretty comon problem with silver metallic, or any light metallic colors. Normally you have to blend in the color. But that's no option on addidtional panels like these.
