How are you attaching the rear bumper fiberglass pieces to the old urethane rear bumper?

I hope you are not going for the "seamless" look, because it will not last very long with the fiberglass bonded to the urethane.

Let me put it another way. If it were easy to seamlessly bond and repair urethane bumpers, more people would be doing it.

Thermal expansion rate is also way different between the two.
