Please help with my bumper
 

Some A-hole hit my back bumper and didn't stick around or leave a note. Now I have this darn dent. How can I fix this? THX

1) cheap and easy, pull the bumper cover off and pop it out. It probably won't look that great though, you'll be able to tell it was dented.
2) paintless dent repair. Find a guy in your area and see what they can do.
3) new bumper cover. Might be able to find one in your color from a wreck.

Of course if the actual bumper underneath is damaged, then that's a while different story.

You could try to heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun and massage it out. If that doesn't work, remove the bumper and heat it up/pop it out.

If the paint is still good, pull the bumper cover off and before you try to remove the dent, heat it with a heat gun. With heat, and some pressure applied it may come out clean to its original shape.

If the temperature outside is a little cold, make sure to heat the umper up for a bit to avoid cracking the paint. Once you get the dent out, and there happens to be some cracking or fracturing of the paint, try using some Turtle Wax black box over it.

That exact same thing happened to me several years ago, although on mine the paint cracked. Good body shop can fix and repainted bumper, my bill was about $600.00 if I recall.

I'll bet it pops out easily from behind when the bumper cover is pulled and heated. Any scuffing to the paint, just hit it with some polish and wax.
Several years ago, I came out to the parking lot to find the whole right rear quarter of my 1972 Pontiac Catalina convertible caved in. Since there were no creases, my body shop popped it out and buffed it for $35.

I know how you feel though. It still sickens me how no one has any common sense anymore or takes any responsibility for themselves.

Try slowly pouring a large kettle full of hot water over that section of the bumper - it may well pop out, if you're lucky that is.
I have a heat gun so I'd simply try it with that, if it didn't work I'd them look at how to get the rear bumper skin off so I can push from behind (after heating)

Harbor freight has heat guns ranging in price from $15 to $40.

Well I screwed up big time. I should have done this myself but I had second thoughts I would make it worse. So I had someone fix the dent for $175 and he wanted to charge 475 with the paint job. I saw the guy do this with so much ease I felt stupid standing there, ugh.

Needless to say I declined the paint job. The paint doesn't look all that bad just some cracks. I was planning to compound the area and polish anyway.

By the way... what is the bumper cover made of and why does it feel so damn fragile!?
