Now what?? What in the hell is that noise??
Drove it to my shop when I got back. Massive scraping noise from the front end. Like grinding. It was mint when I left. No visible problems. New bearings and brakes.

Jack front end. This is between heat shield and rotor on inside of front left. Not visible from outside.

...was driving the Boxster recently and noticed the dash temperature guage was riding higher than normal. So not wanting the Box to croak I hopped back home and discovered this guy against the right front radiator...

I've had a bent heat shield rub the rotor - makes a heck of a racket. Also eats the rotor.
