Boxster s 2006

I'm planning to buy a porsche boxster s 2006 in the very near future. but many people in my neiborhood just say that porsche boxster has many problems in its gear and motor. Do i buy one? or i just try finding another car?

Do they own a Porsche? No problems that occur in all Porsches. Machines break and then you fix. Is it a Toyota......NO Ask someone who knows Porsche to do a PPI just as you would with any car. Good luck!

Totally agree with nicecar. Search this forum for tons of information. If you want an appliance like vehicle stick with a Toyota.

Find a good independent shop that knows the car. A lot of time the independents know these cars and any weakness better then the dealer and will likely charge less. The dealer generally work on cars under warranty.

BB17 ,
1. First find the best P-Car Indie in your area. Ask here for nominations. Unless you are an experienced/talented mechanic up for some real challenges, you need an Indie initially.
2. What alternative to the Boxster are you considering and why ?What is your budget ?
3. How will you use it? Commuter/Track ...?

I'll go further...

Select the mechanic before the car. He will be the one advising you on the purchase (PPI=pre-purchase inspection) and determining what the 9 year old car needs (all cars that old need some work).

Wonderful car if well maintained. Condition and maintenance history matters.
