Winter hits Oklahoma like a ton of bricks.

A sudden and violent winter wonderland. Typical.
Since the Boxsters are my only cars, there will be no 'putting up' for the season, so here we go!
Was kept awake all night by all the power transformers exploding all over the neighborhood.

Dad came over because he lost power at his place, and a neighbor's tree fell on mine. Think I got out without any damage though.

I hope they get things squared away for you all. Ice storms can be a nasty business. Here's to warmer weather.

The green interior and silver exterior fits the Icy landscape perfectly

Glad to hear that all is well and you didn't suffer any damage! Its only the start of winter, be safe out there.

Thank you very much guys! :)
So far so good, but another big wave of freezing rain is hitting now..... Fingers crossed!

The yellow 944 is all original and literally owned by a little old lady. ;)
I love it in that color.

living in Arkansas,I share your pain.Seems like in this part of the USA,any big change in the season/weather reqires some sort of distruction or loss of life!

Reminds me why I moved to fL. Don't miss that crap at all.

Oh man sorry to hear that, we've so lucky so far here up in capital of Canada... still green grass and temp hovering around the zero C mark or warmer. Fingers crossed but our time will be up soon enough.... yikers!

Wow, you guys really did get nailed. Heard this morning that the Gov declared a state of emergency for ALL 77 counties in your state

I remember, as a kid, living in Tulsa for a few years, and getting hit with an ice storm like that. Distinctly remember driving somewhere as a passenger with my dad behind the wheel. Exciting stuff, it was like the car was on a skating rink on skates with very little control available to the driver. Found it absolutely amazing that he kept the car on the road.

The national news TV ran a story on your weather. Being born and raised in Los Angeles I can't imagine that kind of weather. Besides being a PIA with all the damage, it is deadly. It is also beautiful to look at. Be safe!

Retroman1969 11-30-2015 12:42 PM

Thank you everyone!
We are back to sunny days and 40-50 degree temps.
There is just enough humidity here to create those ice castles during the freezing snaps.
The cleanup around the neighborhood looks like the aftermath of a hurricane.
