Creaky clutch sound frim trans area

When I depress the clutch somtimes I hear a creaky sound from behind me, It happens regardless of if the engine is running ot not.
It's clearly at the trans and not the pedal.

Somthing I need to lube? (I hope!)

Could it be the clutch spring for the pedal? Mine does this as well.

I'm not sure if thats good or bad? :)
How long has yours been doing it?

I have the same issue. My dealer told me that the creaking is just some dust from the clutch getting into the clutch cable housing or something like that. I was going to investigate some more before I did anything about it.

Just had it mine fixed last week...Your right it is coming from behind you and not from the pedal itself. Its actually the clutch slave cylinder that makes the annoying squeek.

Hi,

Sounds as if your Dealer is feeding you a load of Bull. There is no Clutch Cable on a Hydraulic System. The only Cables your Tranny has are the Shifter Cables. You may have Dust building up inside the Bell Housing, but that much dust would tend to indicate that your Clutch will require replacement sooner than later at which time they'll do the TO Bearing and Pilot Bearing or Slave, these are most likely what you hear...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

Any update?

If it's the slave cylinder, it's probably a trapped air bubble. My 928 had the same thing and a good bleeding of the system took care of it.

If your brake fluid has never been changed, you should get it done. It should be replaced at least every two years.
