This was likely posted here before, but I've never noticed it :)
10 things you never knew about Porsche

Pretty sure the traditional German racing color is silver ... which started in the 1930s when Mercedes removed the paint from their cars to save weight.

901 went away because Peugeot owns the rights to numbers with zero in middle.

The German color was originally white, but in 1930's the Mercedes and Auto Union cars were silver, and ever since then, the color has been silver.

Porsche "eh"? I always thought it was properly pronounced Porsch "ah".

Porsche-eh sounds very weird....although as a Canadian, respect, eh!

German being my first language it makes me cringe when I hear people say Porsch. I can live with Porsch "ah" but prefer Porsch "eh" .

Having lived in Germany for ten years, I totally agree with the two syllable pronunciation of Porsche. But, I also had German friends who always made fun of the American way of saying the good doctor's name. The "or" portion of his name has a very guttural sound from deep in the throat that Americans just can't replicate.

Never knew that they made engines for Mclaren under the name TAG. Thanks for that :)
