I can just see some early Porsche in that, I guess...

Any time I hear 'Tiger Tank' mentioned, I think of the movie Kelly's Heroes. Lots of great scenes.

Now I'm going to have to find it and watch it again.

The really interesting Porsche tank was the "Elefant" - Note the engine location and tech problems - all too familiar:

It's weakness? A leaky rear main seal and an ims bearing that causes the engine to brick itself.

At least the tracks make so much noise that you can't hear the trailing links clunking!

ME TOO. Jeez, they just don't make movies like that anymore. Even the theme song is great. An absolute classic...

May not be a Porsche, but I have always thought of the Panzer tank when I see one of these from the front. Has the same lethal image even when standing still.

Is the CPU full of bogus software too?

Some years ago a friend and I were playing a round at Boca West. Since we were a twosome, the starter had a third join us. Peter Porsche was our third. He was, IMHO, one of the most obnoxious folks I've met, and "I've seen more than I can recall". He apologized for the Tiger tanks and the Americans who were killed by them. He also made light of America's love affair with his company's cars. It may be that his world is much, much different than mine.
