Help with vacuum hose?

Hey guys, i replaced my oil filler tubes yesterday and as I was putting everything back together, i accidentally pulled some vacuum hoses loose. I managed to figure out where all of them go except for one. The "y"split that attaches to the vacuum tank, the hose that leads to the top of the "y" is reconnected as well as the one that goes into the vacuum tank itself, the one that is still unattached runs towards the cabin of the car and I could not figure out where it connects to. It is an absolute b*tch to gain access to and see completely. Any ideas on where it reconnects and is it doing harm right now by not being reconnected. Cranked fine, drove to work this morning and nothing seemed wrong but I know it serves a purpose of some sort!!!

Look up the vacuum tube layout on Pelican or Auto Atlanta.See below.
This job will be very tedious w/o perfect lighting ,and long skinny fingers.The correct connecting points and routing are very difficult to explain verbally and no photo really helps. A tough but simple job !
Be aware the vacuum hose can become brittle with heat/age. Even if you reconnect it perfectly you may get leaks that will trip a code &/or cause driveability problems.
The entire vacuum system should use color coded lines and fluorescent colored fittings !
Has anyone tried replacing the small diameter OEM lines with generic thick wall silicone tube? I ask because it is heat resistant and comes in garish colors. The OEM replacementt lines are expensive and not durable.

There are lots of posts bemoaning this vaccum hose/connector confusion ,so it is time to come up with a radical solution? As these cars age, the problem will only become more frequent.

I'm racking my brain on how in the hell i am going to get access to that hose all the way down in the engine compartment!!! any certain tricks or tips you could shed my way?!!

I hope others will step up to help you. The access is a huge problem and it is easy to dislodge other things when forcing your hand into the tiny spaces.You will shed blood for this !
The other problem is the routing - that is why I mentioned the color coding and upgraded materials.
