Boxster odd air/whale sound

My 01 Boxster when driving has an odd sound sometimes not always but it sounds like a whale tone almost. It seems like an air based sound of either air going in or coming out and it comes from the back right side of the car anyone ever have this?

There is an engine bay cooling fan in the right vent. Maybe that is failing??

Where are you in boston?

Woburn area, it seems to come on when I get on the gas a little more so maybe a air/fuel suction thing?

If it sounds like its right behind your head while driving check the brake booster vacuum line.

Are you sure it's from the right REAR and not from the gas filler area?
