looks like i'm not crazy and can actually tell when something is wrong with my car.
svc mgr from walter's called today to inform me that at least 3 of the tires tested poorly. he has a call into atlanta and it looks like i will be getting 3, if not an entire set, of new tires later this week.
had i just driven off the lot yesterday with this problem who knows what would have happened to the tires, car, me! one thing i know for sure is that had the problem persisted for another 5k or 10k miles and then manifested as an obvious problem seen by the dealer - these tires would have been replaced at my expense!
lesson here - whether its your beautiful sports car or a loved one - if you know something is wrong and the expert shrugs you off - perserve brothers (and sisters)! porsche mechanics and doctors alike miss things! (MNBoxster and me excluded of course
