Socket size for spark plug.
2000 boxster s, got first coil off and noticed my socket was too big. What size do I need.
Thanks. |
Do you have new plugs you're installing? Check one of them.

Coming tomorrow. I am breaking into steps so I don't get totally frustrated. I can get the socket tomorrow if I know the size.

That's a good looking socket. I may have to get one. Thanks for sharing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have only removed one coil thus far. Question, I did not disconnect the wire to the coil before pulling out which I guess I should have. Could I have done any damage, it wasn't a real struggle pulling out. For the remaining five, how hard to disconnect?
Borrow 5/8 from bud with. A 6 and 8 inch extender. Will try tonight. |
It's not hard to remove the wire harness going to the coil. You will not get them crossed up either as the wire lenghth dictates what wires hook up to what coil.
|
They make a spark plug specific socket. It has a retainer in it so you snap in the plug and start it with the extension attached. Snap On, Craftsman etc.
