Best crank shaft pulley - any advice??
Hi All,
I am going to replace the OEM crankshaft pulley with a new smaller option, any advice on the best one to go for? Thanks. |

Before you buy yours, you may want to ask if it has the hole for TDC... |

Thanks - I'll go for the RSS

Suggest you ask here which brands of under-drive pulley do not disintegrate. Some suffered catastrophic failure.
The TDC hole is useful for cam timing but it is not really intended for use when tightening the C/S bolt. Suggest you ask advice on this issue before trying to loosen the C/S bolt.It may be very tight +/- Loctite. I don't think any of the smaller UDP have the hole for the TDC; the edge of the pulley is right over that and that's why you have to cut down that boss. I used the RSS because it had holes and a tool for counterholding while torqueing it up. When I took the old one off I used a bolt through the hole to take it off. Some say put the car in high gear and set the parking brake to get the hold.
