Looking for a clear car bra
Or something like that. Just something clear I can apply to the front of the car. A quick search reveals plenty of stuff on eBay but I wanted to check here and see if there's a particular product you guys use to protect the front of your boxster. I like the idea of the clear vinyl but I know it will be a pain to apply.

In 2013 I had the front bumper holes filled and the bumper repainted due to rock chips. I began investigating the different films. For me, the best film was 3M Scotchgaurd. The problem is, the film is thick and very difficult to install and most shops shy away from it. Most shops are installing VentureShield. VentureShield is a film the 3M company bought out and now sells. It is a lot thinner and easier to install than the 3M Scotchgaurd. In 2004 I installed the thinner stuff on my 993 and it was pretty easy. I wouldn't try to do the thicker film.

Did you buy a whole big sheet and do it yourself with a heat gun? I've actually used scotchguard before to wrap motorcycles which was very challenging.

Good point... I should have added that I took it in and had it done professionally. From my reading you are right. It is thick and difficult to apply. As a result, most pros will not install it.
