Mystery Hose
 

I just performed my first service on my new-to-me 2000 Boxster S. While replacing the cabin air filter I noticed this mystery hose. I couldn't find a location where the hose may attach. I thought at first it must be for the windshield washers but those connections are all intact. Perhaps in the past it attached to the vent on the battery? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Battery vent hose. Only used on vented batteries.

That is the battery drain line, should be attached to the battery.
