I love the look of the Boxster with the blue LED's, Amazing. How complicated and wallet-draining is replacing the orange lights throughout?

What do you mean Woody? How hard was it to dye or how hard will it be to remove the dash? It wasn't to bad to dye at all. The only hard part was near the windshield, that part is a pain. When you put the first coat on the first thing you will think is this was a mistake lol. After a few coats it starts to look good. Since I took all of the trim off before I dyed the dash, the dash could have come out in a few more minutes i'd guess. But I was outside and the weather was kinda sketchy. I used the sponge method. I think the spray method would be easier. If I was to do it again I would take the dash out and spray it. I probably will do that in the spring.

The gauge lights are a simple swap. They sell a kit for that SportsCarLEDs.com Instrument Panel LEDs Kit for the Porsche ® Carrera 996 & Boxster 986
The rest of the lights involve soldering. I had particlewave do that for me. I don't think the new LEDs cost very much, but I know there are a lot of them on the climate control.

Might be old, sorry, but do you recall the sizes of the LEDs that you installed in the gauge? Thanks.

No i'm not sure of the sizes. They were installed on 1/4 turn connectors just like the factory back lights. Particlewave may know the exact LED sizes. I would ask him.

Looks great, Tommy. Props to you for tackling a big DIY.

I recently re-dyed my seats, and it did give a feeling of "oh f*%k" what have I done when I first started. Came out great though - like you - I notice a few small flaws, but not many others do.

I LOVE the leather airbag cover on the steering wheel. I wish I could find it at an affordable price in grey.
