Lo-jack Location

I just found a Lo-jack brochure among the paperwork I received with the car. The previous owner does not have a clue. I would like to remove it if it is still in the car. I know what they look like but, so far I haven't found it. I know they need continuous power. Does anyone have any experience in where they are located?

maybe one of the PO's is a troll ;)

I must be getting slow in my old age. That is a fair response. My concern is there is non stock 12 volt wiring rattling around some where in the car. I don't know if Lo-jack installers typically use fuses for their installs. I should think/hope so. I have seen more than a couple of under dash fires make a mess of a vehicle. I understand why people might question my honesty/troll quotient.

PO=previous owner, not you, the OP (original poster).

I would look in the battery area and behind the dash. Another good spot would be in the rear trunk, behind the rear carpet.

It's a secret We could tell you, but then we would have to kill you.

Look underneith the drivers side dash speaker

I agree with mr. particlewave.:D

I think it would depend on the installer as they're supposed to make it hard to find. :D

I believe my E320 has a LoJack installed (per the CarFax anyway), and I believe I've found it while chasing a water leak.

Ever heard of Google?

it's an $800 dealer installed option that lowers your insurance $20 a year

Its a vehicle locating device. Used when a car is stolen to find it
