Soft Top Adhesive

I need a recommendation for a soft top adhesive.

The 3rd roof support bar (closest to the rear plastic window) has a vinyl fabric strip on the side that contacts the soft top material (inside the car). That strip was originally glued to the top but now (over the years) has come apart. I want to run a thin strip of glue to reattach it but I'm not sure what type of adhesive to shop for.

Just spoke to GAHH and they say it was originally "heat welded" and they say glue won't hold. They say replace the top.........of course they say that!...they sell tops. I'm going to try to glue it anyway. 3M makes a lot of industrial adhesives and the one nick-named "Gorilla Snot" is worth a try....nothing to lose.

Thanks.

I like the 3M 6384 tape. Stupid strong stuff.
