Boxster top will not go down. Passenger side of boot will not raise up.

Unlatch the top and the windows go down. When I press the button only one side of the clam shell opens.
The passenger side stays down. The top does not move at all since the clam shell is not opening properly.
Any ideas how to approach this problem. It is a 2001 Boxster S.
