Won't start (occasionally)

Hello! First post by a new member-2001 Base (and former '84 Targa owner). I purchased the car a few days ago and love it but... On occasion I turn the key and turn the key and get lights, etc. but no start up. Any suggestions please. Thanks!

Manual or tip? If manual, it might be a clutch switch.

Manual. The problem might lie in the operator upon reflection; too many safety nazi steps to go through. I think I found the problem-me.

could be a failing ignition switch as well
