A question that probably has never been asked

About a year ago the "S" on my trunk was looking bad so I replaced it with a Red one and it looks terrific (IMHO)

My wife had a neat idea, she said let me find the right nail polish and I will paint the "S" on the batwing inside.....just the S

Now the question, anyone know the nail polish color that most closely resembles the hue of the red S ?

Timco 08-08-2015 06:41 PM

Let me check the reds in my nail polish collection and get back to you. I'm thinking "love knows no limits" red.

Wouldn't a decal be easier? In Guards Red.

Question for you, Dwight: is the script removable or molded in? I want just the "Boxster" on my base, but want to be able to paint it.

Edit: never mind. I think I'd prefer "986" and just found some self-adhesive 1.8cm letters/numbers. ;)

Bruce Jenner might know. Opps, I mean Caitlyn Jenner

Are you sure this question hasn't been asked before? Did you do a search before asking?

Actually, there is an answer. :D

I've done my nails a few times to match my car, and it was an Essie color. It looks very cool to have the car match the hand on the steering wheel.

I will check through my polishes. I will get back to you.

Meanwhile, you can enjoy perusing the endless Essie color chart

http://www.essie.com/Colors.aspx?gclid=CKGImMvsnscCFVUlgQodtmYDKw

You know how women always say things like "that's not the right white (or blue, or whatever)"? I blame Essie and their endless color selection . . .

Porsche Chick 08-10-2015 12:11 PM

I found it!

The nail polish that matches Porsche Guard's Red EXACTLY is Essie Russian Roulette.

I wonder how many women will google "Porsche Red Nail Polish" and end up here?

The piece in the lower center console, right in front of the shifter. ;)

I like the idea of 986, have you done it? If I'm not mistaken, the letters are moulded into the plastic that protrude out, unless I am wrong and they can be removed? If this is the case, to answer the OP, I believe the idea of nail polish with a steady hand is the best if not only way to do this.

This forum never ever ceases to amaze and entertain.

Now I just need to know.

Fun fact she rhymes in this song the word hoe with the phrase

"Drives a Porsche only a boxter doe"
"You-a you-a stupid hoe"

I have the numbers on order. I couldn't find any cursive script numbers in the correct size, so went with block italic style. Will post back when they come in. ;)

As close as I can guess, Aruba Blue.

Here's the sell copy, if it helps motivate you: "escape to paradise with this frosty sapphire blue nail polish. this vacation in a bottle is an essie salon pedicure favorite."

I detest Nikki Minaji! She's so lame. Whenever she does something sensationalistic, I think "I remember when I had my first beer."

Jake, in the interest of having your next girlfriend (since you blew it with the last one, you shmuck!) match your car, the closest I can offer is this OPI polish
