Broken spring
 
Hi all
3.2 s 2001 failed mot today on broken front spring, have removed both front springs , now just wtg for new ones to come. The thing is I never even realised it was broke, is that bad, so i am also replacing top front mounts as they are worn

Wow! That's pretty wild. I'm guessing you have an obliterated bump stop on at least that side also. I'd recommend throwing on some new front bump stops while you're in there. (OE aftermarket ones are available for very reasonable cost). My front bump stops were obliterated on my Boxster at about 110k miles when I recently rebuilt my suspension. (And I didn't even have any broken coil springs, although I suspect they may have settled a bit.)

Yeah I put new bump stops , gators and top mounts, surprising how worn
Top mounts were, just got to get camber etc checked now and a
Re test and all is good ,
