Blinking red light

Hey guys, I just got the blinking red light of death so I pulled over immediately. Boxster has been running fine but earlier today I used one of those arctic freeze AC recharge kits from Autozone... I don't know if that has anything to do with it .

I know over pressurization of the AC system is a thing, but I'm not sure if it triggers the RLOD. You are talking about the CEL and not the coolant slow blink, right?

What blinking red light of death are you talking about? The CEL when blinking is the yellow light of death...

I think you mean the Change Engine Light. ;)

I kid. Borrow a diagnostic tester from AutoZone and see what code it throws up. Not really enough information to diagnosis this.

Well it stopped... To be fair, it was 95 degrees today and this isn't the fist time I got the RLOD. Using the tester will be my next step.

IF it was the red light located near the coolant temp gauge then you need to add coolant (50/50 anti-freeze + water)....... Might need to also replace your coolant cap with the newer "improved" sealing cap.
