Anyone done these?

Seems like a very reasonable way to update the color of your calipers, but not sure of durability.

MGP® - Porsche Boxster 1998 Custom Caliper Covers

Can customize and get PORSCHE engraved in them with total price of 317 bucks for all four.

Might try them......

I painted mine with G2 brush on caliper paint http://www.amazon.com/Temperature-Leveling-G2-Caliper-System/dp/B000AUMYMM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438207620&sr=8-1&keywords=g2+brake+caliper+paint+kit
Add some decals from ebay and they look factory for way less.

Well for one thing the site says it will upgrade the look of your calipers. Not. Our cars come with top of the line Brembo calipers, so no cover is going to upgrade the look. Like the previous poster said just get the brush on kit. I think it's like $40. You can get the decals on ebay for under $10. It's very easy to do, you don't even have have to take the calipers off.

I sprayed my calipers red 5+ years ago, and they have held up surprisingly well. Actually, you would never know they aren't powder coated. I spent about $40 for the Porsche decals, red high heat spray paint and high heat clear coat.

For $317, you could get them powder coated, and it wouldn't be plastic. I would also be concerned about clearing the spokes with those covers installed.

I would not do this, these are plastic shells that hold the heat in

Thanks

That makes sense.

I think I'll just paint them then. I appreciate the feedback.

I painted mine with spray caliper paint when I had them off the car, and got the vinyl decals for the PORSCHE lettering. It has held up pretty well and the decals still look good; I was worried bout the heat.
