I thought you didn't like pre-2005... Where are the 17" Carrera 5 spoke wheels?

I have only driven1 pre 2005 I am hoping this is different. Are those not the original wheels?

I forgot the price is 18.5k and owner passed away in spring his son is selling the car. He owned the car for 8 years and is just back from 30k service

Speedster humps always look great on guards red! Happy car hunting, the 986 is smaller for sure but I fit much better in it then any of my friends sports cars.

You'd better put $3K more and get a newer one?

Put a deposit down and moving on to the pre purchase inspection.

Until 09 the 987 really isn't much newer other then having some nicer options such as sport crono.

The common thought here is to buy the nicest, newest boxster you can get. I sure would take a chance on an 06-08 knowing im gonna have the bigger ims and a whole lot less chance for failure. Youre also getting a lot of upgraded parts that the 986s didn't have. The dfi engines aren't without their own issues as Raby will attest to. The biggest upgrade is that 987s are newer which in turn makes everything on the car newer.

Newer, but I wouldn't take a 110k 987 base over a 986 S. I'd take a 2000S over an 04 any day as well if the price difference justifys value. No matter how good a glass top is or upgraded parts I wouldn't pay 10k more for a car with identical if not more miles that is at the end of the day the same engine and platform made to look better.
