Rally starts in Knoxville on tuesday
 

Anyone in the Knoxville area may be interested in knowing that this years Rally North America charity rally to benefit the " Hope for the warriors" charity will be lining up on and leaving from the bridge over the worlds fair park early Tuesday morning july 14th. We will line up about 7 am and leave about 8. There will be 80 cars representing virtually all makes from American muscle cars to all European makes. Several porsches besides our Boxster S LE will be competing. It really is a special sight to see all of us roaring out for a 1200 plus scavenger hunt style rally. We have thus far raised $99, 956.00 for the veterans and are hoping to surpass the $110K we raised last year for MS research.
If you are in Knoxville and can get by, please come out and see us off. They will have the bridge closed off for us and we will be lined up headed south.

I wish I could see it, or better yet be in it! I need to set aside time to do it one year. Have a safe and fun time!:cheers:

Back from The Rally North America charity rally for the warriors. We raised over $115,000 for the vets and had a great time. Over 1200 miles in 3 days criss crossing the Smoky and Blue ridge mountains and a total of 6 federal parks in 4 states.
The With 81,000 miles on the clock, the 04 boxster anniversary edition performed admirably and then did 2 hours flat out at Roebling road in 105 degrees without a complaint.
Leaving early in the morning to pick up a new Macan turbo in Atlanta.

Congrats on the money raised, very worthy cause:cheers: With a description like that, we need pictures! I am very jealous over you getting the Macan Turbo! My Toyota Highlander is nice, but nothing like what your Macan will be! Maybe I can get a used Macan someday but my guess is they will be in very short supply for quite awhile. Enjoy:cool:
