Headlight trim/seal

So I'm thinking about using a small size black surgical tubing piece, held with silicone sealant to replace the broken, gummy factory part.
Any thoughts?http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1436402137.jpg

I used a rubber weather strip from Home Depot, and it fits and seals pretty well.

Looks like it could work out great - having had to use some weatherstripping from an auto store, I can say the hardest part is that the fit is not even all the way around. A few pinch points, a few gaps.

I would love to see how this fits - the tubing could be great or could be really hard to shove in, particularly around the top if I remember right.

Good luck and give us some pics when done!

Looks good! I would "tack" it in place with some tape and see how it fits in the car. As stated above, the fit is really tight around the outside edge and above the fog light, so it might be a bit of a pain in those areas.

Did you get your headlight switch yet?

Not yet. Suncoast sat on the order for several days and then shipped it sloth mode. It will be here Friday. Pretty excited.
