Hawaiian Driver Hawaiian Driver Join Date: Apr 2014 Location: Maui Posts: 58	Six speed transmission question Today I went for a 100 mile drive and never once put the car in 5th or 6th gear. I find this to often be the case. The roads here are so endlessly twisty I can't get anywhere near enough speed for those upper gears. So my question, is this bad or harmful to the transmission to virtually never use those top two gears? Otherwise I typically drive well above 3000 rpm most of the time, Thanks to all, and Happy Fathers Day __________________ 2005 Boxster S 6 Speed
