Would like to also know what you think a fair price is for the car. New Battery and 4 New Tires as well.

First and foremost have a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) done by a mechanic you can trust. That way you'll know if there are any issues with that particular car and, depending on severity, you can use them in the price negotiation

Good advise. If everything checks out fine with the car, What is that fair price range, estimate?

I would go to Kelly Blue Book and or one of the other car value estimators and see what the range is between trade in value and sellers value. That will give you a good range to deal with before you negotiate any issues that may come up from the PPI.

Look at Autotrader from several major cities. You'll get the price swings really fast.

Los Angeles had the most. I bought there.

I have a client with a virtually identical car except it has cocoa full leather interior & under 30,000 miles. They will take $25,000 for it.

IMS issue. Can anyone shed some light on this. Major/Minor repair? Est Cost? Do I need to be concerned with 40K miles?

Go to the top of the thread list "Thinking of buying a Boxster - MUST READ" or use the search function "IMS / intermediate shaft" and prepare yourself for hours of inwardly digesting.....
