Lots of blue smoke, rough idle
Drove the car home from church today with no issues. Went to run errands this afternoon and car started hard with a James Bond size puff of smoke. Ran rough for a few seconds and died. Engine sounded horrible when it was running. Replaced AOS a little more than a year ago at 93,000. Current mileage is 117,000. Oil is changed every 5,000 miles. Electronic oil gage shows three bars low (first time ever). Going to get it towed in tomorrow.

Here's to an AOS.
Best of luck with this. Hope it's an easy fix.

Looks like the local gas station had diesel in the super premium pumps. Of course filled up there this weekend. Would that cause the AOS to fail? Shop is pulling and cleaning whole fuel system. Looks like MAF failed too, $600 for that sensor!
Talked to the station. They took my name for a claim, waiting to hear back from them.

Wow. Unheard of. An engine guy will have to chime in on what that would do.

I would think you would have misfires. Did the check engine light come on? Flashing?
You need a oil change too!

Definently sounded like misfires. No blinking CEL light.
Oil too? Thanks for the info!

With battery out and screw on cap removed, you can see right into the tank, down to the bottom. Easy to flush and clean well.

DO NOT use electric Shop vacuum to suck gas out of tank. That would be bad!
