Mirror Removal

Hey guys swapping out my drivers side mirror (clear coat started coming off and it was cheaper to get a salvage one than painting it). New one comes tomorrow and im wondering if anyone has any info on how to do the swap? Thanks in advance guys.

The triangle cover with the mirror switch needs to be pulled out on the bottom just a half an inch and then it slides up. After you get that off, there's three torque screws that hold the mirror to the door. Be careful when disconnecting the electrical connection to the mirror. Those tabs are very brittle.

In addition to the information above - once the plastice trim is removed, tape over the space between the door card and mirror. It can help prevent screws from falling inside the door. Also, on thenforemost screw - you are likely going to have to push the rubber moulding out of the way to reach the screw.
