Le Mans 2015
Fox sports has terrible coverage.
Regardless things are looking good Porsche started 1,2,3. Would love to see a first second finish this year! |
I love Porsches but watch out for the new Corvettes!
|
No need to watch Fox. There plenty of stuff on the web including live ride alongs in many of the cars including all of the Porsche Factory cars.

I'm looking forward to seeing Ford GT next year also, but PORSCHE 1&2 this year. I think my IMS just got a little better!

FOX Sports coverage was just fine.

Nice job Porsche and Corvette. |
A first second finish and having a 911 win LME AM class was a respectable finish after the disappointments last year.

When I saw the schedule for FS1 I had to find other means of watching. Live feeds from various sites were ok which is what I used last year. It just wasn't good enough for me. This time I paid the $9.99 from the FIA website. It was the best coverage of Lemans that I've seen to date. I used my laptop to cast to a big screen. Live coverage, no commercials, various in car camera options. Greatest part is while I watched the stream on the big screen I was also able to view in car cameras at the same time. Heck I had 4 devices following the race all at once. Great race and effort by Porsche. I can almost bet that Out of the three cars Porsche entered the #19 was probably the last car they expected to win. They did have a F1 driver in the lineup but all three drivers were rookie LMP1 drivers. What an effort by those three. |

I'm sure the broadcast itself was fine but take a look at their broadcast schedule. If you don't have FS2 you were sol.
TV Schedule: FOX Sports broadcast schedule (all times ET and subject to change): - FOX Sports GO (Saturday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m. to Sunday, June 14 at 9:30 a.m.) - Saturday, June 13 (8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., FOX Sports 2) - Saturday, June 13 (7 p.m. to 8 p.m., FOX Sports 1) - Saturday, June 13 (11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., FOX Sports 2) - Sunday, June 14 (3:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., FOX Sports 1) - Sunday, June 14 (7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., FOX Sports 2) - Sunday, June 14 (9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., FOX Sports 1) |
My question is, what was on from 12:30 to 3:30 am that pushed out the race, it's gotta be hard to find two sports shows at that time.
NASCAR is great but a nascar practice pushing out Le Mans is like a NCAA summer game pushing out the super bowl. |
I'm MAD AS HECK about the Fox Sports deal. FS2 for me is NOT HD, and looked horrible, WHEN they decided to broadcast. They did not broadcast the 11pm-12:30am segment, showed more soccer instead. Worse than that, they advertised all over the place that the entire race would be on Fox Sports Go, and, darn it, it just wasn't there! It was SO frustrating!
Since the ACO deal is only 10 bucks, I'm doing that next year. |
