888 whp M96 powered 930

Interesting that they dropped a M96 into an older 911. Who said the M96 can't make huge power.

Ideas ideas.... :P

Neat...

Though to me it seems the more 'natural' solution would have been to transplant a 996/7 TT Mezger motor in as refreshed powerplant (in a 930 especially) as opposed to twin turbocharging a M96.

From the article:

Now, 9 years later, Bisimoto has become a company known for applying carefully designed parts to often-overlooked drivetrains to illicit unheard of power. Building reputation with builds like his 1000hp Honda Odyssey or the Hyundai Sonata that pumps 888hp through it's small 4 cylinder, Bisimoto has set out to prove what engines are truly capable of
Every engine has so many horses inside. You just have to ask yourself "how soon do you want them?".

I have to agree that if you had a point to prove I would start with the Metzger TT

I think an m96 was purposefully used to test his new engine sleeve tech (you can find it for sale on the bisimoto website).

I would be interested to see how they fit it in an air cooled 911. again, if you go to the website there is a bit of dancing around why they don't show any engine shots.

"The first order of business was addressing the D-chunking issues that plagued the cylinders of the m96 engine variants"

A plague? :p
Sounds more like a ploy to sell some aftermarket sleeves...

Sweet looking 911. How is it that the 911 can pull off the whale tail so beautifully and any other car would look silly with one?

Looks beautiful from the front. The turbo setup makes words like 'inelegant and hack' come to my mind though. Eye of the beholder I guess.

Yeah the rear would look better if they had concealed the turbos and filters in some fashion.
