Help with Magnus Walker Look

So now that the Box is just an autoX and track car I thought I'd have a little fun with it and try and go for a bit of a Magnus walker look. Here's a picture of one of his cars for reference. I'm planning on putting the two letter class below my autocross club logo and a Pegasus above the logo. I'm not sure if the class letters, "BS", should be red or white. I'd also like to do something with the hood and trunk. Maybe vinyl wrap them white? Or vinyl wrap the hood white and then put a Martini stripe on it. Any ideas? No reason to be subtle, I'm subtle enough driving around in my Mini all day.

My car

Some sort of decal that tappers over the rear haunches like an ruf would look great.

I agree, you're talking about the 550'esk decals right? I haven't been able to find those any where. I might talk to a local shop today to see if they can do it.

Maybe a red hood and red numbers, any Photo shoppers out there? If so this may be an easier shop

I autocross my Boxster from time to time, I am in ASP now because of my 2nd cat delete pipes and UD pulley. My group said they didn't care if I stayed in BS but I felt funny about it.

I did make a BS magnet (and an ASP magnet) using a Porsche script type font, you are welcome to borrow from my letters/style if you want. Another member (Fred) helped me with these and so I would like to pass it along. I really like the Porsche script type letters.

I got the B & S from the Boxster S logo.

For this one I got the P from the Panamera logo, the S from the Boxster S logo, and I used a 4 to make the A. To me it doesn't look as good as the BS one.

My son has a vinyl cutting machine and would probably be glad to help you with some prototyping of decals if you don't have a cheap local source.

Excellent! I'm taking you up on the image. I just sent it to a local guy to be printed.

Oh wow. Identical thread, sorry guys.... The silver car can kinda pull off the red hood, blue might clash.

If you want to jazz up Lapis blue I would do this:

Wheels:
Two stage plasti-dip. First coat black. Second gold gold. paint your lugs black.

body:
Martini stripes down the hood and rear trunk. The WIDE Martini stripes not the subtle narrow ones.
The front stripe with your number in the middle or the Martini Logo.
Plasti dip the back of the roll hoops in either red or light blue to compliment the stripes.
Door numbers in red with a white border.

and since you already have 18" wheels:
Install a lip spoiler up front. Try doing a red plasti dip with a gloss coat.
Might come out nice without having to take it to a body shop.
And paint some of the bottom of the rear bumper in red to match the front.

p.s.
And do Particle Wave's Dremel de-ambering of your headlights. It will really pull together the colors much better.
That much orange thrown in there is really distracting.

Great advice, I'll definitely de-amber the lenses (I'll try it this week) and surprisingly I've never seen that lip before, unfortunately that would put me in a different autoX class though. Out of curiosity where is a good place to get a lip, besides ebay? I've decided to go with a white hood, and red numbers on the doors and hood (with a white outline). Magnus is using Bauhaus 93 which might look a little odd on something newer like a boxster. What do you guys think?

Well I took my first pass at the decals this afternoon. I'm not really happy with it, the 130 is in the wrong spot and the other stickers don't quite flow yet. Luckily I have spares to try and rearrange them. I also got the wrap in for the hood, I'll try and knock that out tomorrow night. Any suggestions? In person the red numbers pick up on the red interior and calipers which helps quite a bit.
