Interior door storage tray
 

The drivers side storage tray is floppy. I had it off once before last year but now I cannot
remember if I lift up and back or pull it forward to get it off? Of course the spring has an issue somewhere in there.
What is the secret?

There is a rod that goes thru the hinges. I pushed the pin out to take the covers off. The spring goes on the back of the hinge towards the back of the door.

Hey Tommy thanks. I put some additional light on that tray and noticed that there is a section of plastic that snapped off back there where the spring is and that is keeping the tray from gently snapping into place. Off to find a replacement. Woody do you hear me? 😀

Oh, you mean the pistol pocket......

I like that idea. I had to look in the user manual for the name of the tray. Bentley was no help here. I did not want to have the coating rub off in the compartment from storing a metal object that slides around in there. I usually just keep my pistol on the floor near me.
