Noise in front end

I have a rattle in the drivers side front suspension of my 1999 Boxster with 52000 miles. I have owned the car for about six weeks and cannot access the previous owner.
Also, steering is tight, comfortable and does not vibrate.
Any suggestions on what it might be or what to look for in the front end?
Would like to avoid an accident!
Is this a common sound of the cars suspension, this is my first Porsche?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You'll have to elaborate a bit. Could be drop links. Could be lots of stuff. When/where does this happen: bumps only or constant? Turning only or all the time? etc.
