ticking hydraulic lifter

most say to put wynns in when engine is hot. but someone says pour it in when engine is cold ? would apprecite any comments . thanks

This is opening a can of worms....
Don't put anything like Wynns in the engine - it won't work.
Use the search function "ticking" or "stuck lifter" and just hope that the ticking is not bore scoring (piston tapping @ TDC as happens on later 3.6 l engines.
