2001 Boxster S license plate lights
 

My 01 S had one burned out license plate light and one good. neither worked. Put new bulbs in. no luck. checked and changed the fuse. no voltage to the sockets. started tearing into the trunk looking for a connection. lots of stuff back there. I

Anybody had this problem? I assume there's a wire loose or something has come unplugged. Can you access this from below? I really don't want to have to take the bumper cover off.
