Boxster won't hold charge

Hi guys,

I have a '99 Boxster. Recently, it has gotten into the habit of not starting every time. When I try and start it, I get a series of clicks. After I jump it, it starts right up. And it will continue to start for a day and a half. Then, I'm back to square one.

Any thoughts?

That is what I was thinking/hoping. I took it into an auto parts store and had it tested (just the battery, I couldn't get a jump to get the car there). They said that it still had 1/4 life left. Could it still be the battery? It is the original.

You have a 16 year old battery? Yup. I'd replace that before guessing alternator.

Great! I would rather replace the battery than do the alternator. I was hoping you guys would confirm my suspicions.
