Cleaning Interrior
I have a 2003 graphite grey interior, the roll bar pads are turning yellow, any suggestions on how and what to to use to clean,

Is anyone spraying suntan lotion around the car? Yellowing cushions have been a problem on boat cushions that come into contact with suntan lotion. I would try the Leatherworld Tech cleaner and then dye them if the cleaner did not work.

Try a solution of 20% meguiars apc and 80% distilled water. Do not spray the intended area rather on a toothbrush and work it into the leather.
Start off with 10% apc and go to 20 if you need to. Its strong stuff and needs to be diluted or you will damage the interior. This should clean the leather to like new, but don't do it often. Finally finish up with a leather conditioner. |
There's a famous German product line called Klasse. They have a product specifically for the interior previously known as VLRP (vinyl, leather, rubber, plastic) now called Klasse Cleaner Protectant. I would also give this a shot, another German product, called 1Z Leather while your in there cleaning stuff. It leaves the seats looking new, amazing how many layers of dyes from your jeans, pollution, etc. get stuck on a roadster interior.

Go to the thread below. This guy had the same problem. I suggested a 'magic erasure' sold everywhere, and it worked!

^ I totally forgot about that thread, the funny thing is that since you posted that I now use the magic eraser to get the yellowing and streaks off the white parts of Nike's (Air Max 90). Works like a charm. Actually it works on all colors.

Be cautious where you use the 'magic' eraser. I had some scuffs on my dash that the eraser actually made worse (fortunately, I did it in a obscure location to test). Test in hidden location first. It will work in some areas, but others are more sensitive.
I think the rolls bars are more hearty and should be fine. For the dash - ended up using Mequires Dash and Trim restorer, which worked okay. |
