New glass window top. Pic
After 3 years of ownership of my 2002 I finally am free of the horrible plastic window that I could no longer see through. Total cost of new top installed at my Indy mechanic was 1150.00. Only thing I don't like is they have the defroster wires just laying across the speaker box, I may just unplug it all and go without it. Anyone in the fence about changing to a glass rear window, do it! The nice clear view out the Back is wonderful.

Looks great! I agree, the glass makes a huge difference. I ran the defrost wires underneath the speaker box so they are completely hidden.

Forgot to add, I also had top speed secondary cat delete pipes installed. I love the slightly lower tone to the exhaust.

What brand top is that? I am getting ready to upgrade to a glass top as well.

Very nice looking. Did the $1150.00 include both top and installation? That is an incredible price if it includes the top and installation for a GAHH top.

That is about what I paid for an Auto Tops Direct top installed. The ATD top is the same as a GAHH top, same company.

Looks good. I replaced mine with a blue GAHH top with glass also. I just ran the wires for the defroster under the trim. I did mine myself and saved 600 bucks. It really isn't that hard to do.

I will have to double check for sure. We did discuss using a GAHH top, but I thought those had a plastic trim piece around the rear window and mine does not. The fabric seems very similar to the factory original top. The top was 549.00 the rest was labor, we did deal for a discount because he wanted my secondary cats for something else

549 sounds about right for what I paid. Being abe to do the maintenance myself has aready saved me a ton of money.

I am curious because GAHH does not advertise a $549.00 glass window replacement top for the Boxster on their website. Auto Tops direct does have one at that price point on their website.
