Irritation noise on startup
It is a tinny noise and when you rev the engine sitting still you hear it...when on the road and really get on it you do not hear it. When I got my secondary cat delete pipes a lot of it went away...but not all....It really sounds like muffler internal noise...perhaps a loose baffle... Does anyone else have this ??

Heat shields?
Muffler going bad? Loose coupler? Sure it's exhaust? Tried removing the belt and running it for a minute or two? |
Thanks Tim, not the heat shields...had all that stuff off when I removed the rear axles for my bearing job. The couplers were in good condition, I reinstalled them using brand new stainless bolts....I have not tried removing the belt and running....you thinking water pump or ???

Made a symphony of noises it turned out, but the work truck is a Ford so I was used to that. When those three things were fixed it was silent. |
