Question about clutch pedal feel

I've only had this '04 base for three weeks or so, and I'm still getting used to the clutch travel. To me, it seems that the pedal has linear pressure up to a certain point, and then a much stronger spring assist in the last 30% of the travel. I'm wondering if this is typical?

The car has low miles, and the clutch and flywheel were replaced about 2k miles ago.

My 01S has a heavier clutch pedal than my 1978 FJ40
