Caliper Question

Looking to find out if a set of rear calipers from a 98 Boxster can be installed in the front or not. In my case, the front ones need to be replaced and thus far I have only been able to find two replacement rear calipers :). Looking to see if my existing rear ones can be moved to the front and replacement ones installed in the rear.

I don't know it if can be done mechanically (which I doubt), but I wouldn't recommend it. The rear rotors and the pads themselves are smaller which, if moved to the front, will reduce overall braking capability and change the factory front to rear braking balance/bias.
