Trunk Lid Compatability - 2002 lid onto a 99
 

I have a 1999 Boxster, Arctic Silver. The trunk lid has multiple outward dimples where someone slammed the trunk on items that were too tall. In addition the silver paint is getting thin, and you can, in certain lights, see the white primer underneath.

Seller on eBay has a minty trunk lid from a 2002 Boxster S with the same paint code.

Is this a direct bolt-on swap? The replacement lid is $150 including shipping, and I would pay more than that to have the existing lid repaired and repainted.

Actually I went ahead and pulled the trigger based on some info I found on another site. Good news for you, or someone else looking, is that the same seller has another one for sale right now.
