Where to put the gas cap when filling up

I saw another post related to gas that reminded me of a question. Is there a place to hold the gas cap when filling or are you just supposed to let it dangle by the tire?

By the way, even though fuel prices are high, I love going to the gas station because that is where I receive most of my compliments ;)

You should hang it on the little hook on the inside of the flap door.

I just hold it with my other hand that is not pumping the gas that way there is no chance of losing/forgetting it.

I just have the guy who want's to wash my windshield with an old newspaper hold it - it's a great way to support the economy

there is a hook on the inside of the gas cap door. You are supposed to hang the cord on the hook. That way it keeps the it from hitting the car and leaving scratches or gas on the car.

I didn't even notice that the car had a hook. I am glad you guys pointed this out!

I cut the cord off. That way if my wife fills the car it will not dangle into it...
