Why

Driving my car yesterday hit a small bump and my windows dropped to top down position ? They would roll down but would only go up to top down mode ? I pulled over dropped the top. When I put it back up later everything`s fine ? Gemlins ?

could have triggered a switch or something electricity and electronics are very weird some times :P

Maybe your car was trying to tell you 'It's a beautiful day, put the top down!'

Its the top microswitch located in the windshield header. This is pretty common as the switch ages and deteriorates.

This is a super easy fix. Do a search and you should be able to find the PN and DIY instructions here on the forum.

Got the same thing going on - hit a bump and the windows drop. Unlatch/re-latch the top and they will go back up. I know it's that switch but haven't got around to fixing it yet. Thought I might try contact cleaner first.

Ya I`ll clean out the center latch. I had the hardtop on all winter.

I did the Porsche approved repair of jamming some duct tape in the hole. That fixed it temporarily until I replaced the microswitch.
