2002 Porsche Boxster for Sale

Unfortunately I have a 2002 Boxster with a blown engine according to the Porsche dealer in Buffalo. The car has 58k miles and was in great shape up until that faithful day last August when it the engine went. I can’t afford to fix it and wanted to put it up for sale. Looking to get $3,000.

Did they elaborate on the engine fail reason or just " no compression cylinders 3&4" report?

The head mechanic at the dealership who was recommended by the owner of the company I work for didn't get into the details except to say it was blown. We wanted 3k to take the engine out, but then said he would tell me the same thing, it was blown. He did mention a few codes over the phone, but at the time I didn't write them down. Sorry I can't give more details

This is an excellent candidate for an LS1 Swap! Someone should snag it for this purpose and turn it into a WICKED FAST Boxster.

Not really. You want an S model for a LS1 swap.

Sorry for your loss. That looks great in the picture.

Just to help your sale:
Any interior pics showing off the condition of the seats and trim?
Does it come with manuals and more than one key?
Would you care to check the oil filter for metal debris? - The engine may or may not be salvageable and that helps for a better guess.
GLWS

Will do and thanks for the suggestions, I'm at work now, but will post some more pictures tomorrow. I don't have the manual, but do have two keys. Will also check out the oil tonight. Thanks

$3k is a smoking deal. I wish you were close by me.
